The Education and Culture, Council of Indigenous Peoples of Taiwan had created the “Taiwan Indigenous Cultural Park” for tourists and visitors to preserve culture and raise awareness of the aboriginal groups in Taiwan as they are a group of important people left. (Hybrid Consumption) Themed exhibitions (Theming), collection of aboriginal artefacts, library and research centres and handicraft streets (Merchandising) are some of the facilities in the cultural park. From these clear evident Disney characteristics, Orchid Island (Lanyu) in Taiwan is strongly “disneyfied” as a result of Globalisation.
